Fact Referred to as “pioneer surveyor of the Severn.” [6]

Real Estate Apparently Nicholas transported people into Maryland in exchange for land as he has several land grants in Anne Arundel County Land Records (see Aug. 11, 1664 - 100 acres south side Severn River; Dec. 16, 1664 - Wyatts Ridge, 450 acres at head of Severn River, sold 225 acres on Jan. 29, 1664/5 and rest inherited by grandchildren; May 2, 1668 - Wyatt's Harbour, 100 acres south shore Severn; Aug. 8, 1668 - Wyatts Hill, 60 acres south shore Severn inherited by grandson Samuel Dorsey).

Notes	He was a wealthy Virginia planter (lived in Charles City Co.) and came to the Severn River area in Maryland with other nonconformists (about 1650). Some records suggest Nicholas Wyatt was descended from either Rev. Haute Wyatt or from Haute Wyatt's brother, Sir Francis Wyatt. If this is so, then he is of Royal descent. However, it apears widely recognised that Nicholas and Anthony Wyatt of Prince George’s Co., Virginia, were not related to either Haute or Francis Wyatt.
