- In 1634, he was sent to Agamenticus (now York), Maine, by Sir Ferdinand Gorges, the proprietor of the Province of Maine and related to Thomas by marriage. Thomas was certainly in London on 1 May 1634 and in New England by 5 May 1636. By 1640, he had moved to Salisbury, Mass., which is when he was made a Freeman.,, He was an original proprietor of Salisbury, where he is given the title “Mr.” in records and was the recorder of the first minutes.
He was constable in 1641, later a schoolmaster, town clerk, clerk of courts, Captain of the military company, a deputy to the General Court for 7 years and an Associate Justice. (see also ,)

William about the admin. of their father's est. and pay their gr. mother an annuity; to daus. Mary Stanion and Jane True; to gr. ch. Elizabeth Buss; five pounds to the selectmen for the poor; wife Mary and dau. Judith Moody execs.
His wife was tried in 1692 for witchcraft; was convicted but not executed. She d. Dec. 20, 1700.
Savage says: BRADBURY, THOMAS, Salisbury, an orig. propr. but it is not kn. where he was sett. bef. going to that town, yet prob. at Ipswich, freem. 13 May 1640, rep. 1651 and six yrs. more, recorder for the Co. of Norfolk, [[230]] when New Hampsh. was part of Mass. was a capt. and d. 16 Mar. 1695. His w. Mary, d. of John Perkins, after 56 yrs. of good cohabit. was accus. of witchcraft in the dark hours of 1692, but her age was not sufficient to condemn her; she was acq. and d. 20 Dec. 1700.
