- Thomas Plummer and wife, Elizabeth (STOCKETT) Plummer, with their sons: Micajah, Philemon, Samuel and Thomas, began their Quaker Settlement on Bush Creek near the present town of New Market, Maryland. The land they had surveyed later became part of Frederick Co., Maryland. Thomas' brothers appear to have settled in the same neighborhood.
