- The 1776 Maryland Census lists many Wilsons by name and age. The only Thomas Wilson is listed as age 13 and living in North West Hundred, Frederick Co., Md. Others in the same location are Sarah (a. 9, living in the house of Thomas Maddox), Verlander (a. 80), Zachariah (a. 45), James (a. 13), Henry (a. 51), Folander (a. 3), Folander (a. 47), Elender (a. 7), Zadock (a. 19), Mary (a. 11), Lucy (a. 16), Lanclot [sic] (a. 9), and Henry (a. 5). Note that there are other Wilsons in the state, but none named Thomas and none connected to a Perry or a Beall.
Based on unsourced information I have, Thomas Perry Wilson would have been about 8 (not 13) in 1776 though the 5 year difference is irrelevant in terms of marriage/children dates if in fact this information is incorrect. If this 13 year old is Thomas Perry Wilson, the census suggests his father is Henry and his mother deceased probably between 1771 and 1776 (Henry is the only not atypical name, another Henry is aged 5 in 1776, no woman is listed). Note that the census lists only a small percentage of 1776 Maryand residents.
